​    I’m Alex Baghshahi, a second generation rug weaver with over 60 years of experience. Born into the business, I began working in my father’s rug shop at a young age.
I earned a degree in Electronics Engineering from Iranmehr Tehran University, studied in Munich, Germany, and graduated  from Pittsburg State University while operating my own rug business.

As a licensed Georgia auctioneer (Lic. #AU004452) and President of Persian Rug Paradise Inc., I have built and inherited an extensive private collection of rare, antique, and one-of-a-kind Oriental rugs from around the world.

Today, through Alex Antique Rugs, I offer this carefully curated collection with true wholesale pricing and personalized service.
